Great article Mike, it was very helpful and well written to help me grasp some of Magento’s concepts. Especially comparing to WordPress was helpful. I’m looking forward to future Magento related content on here.

Thank you for sharing this. While a lot of questions I have are unanswered (not that this was meant to answer them) it gave a foundation of basic understanding on Magento’s framework. I recently took a job where I agreed to use Magento and now I am scratching my head with all sort of issues but this really helped to have a better understanding of what needs to be done to complete this job.

Good work. I am at the quoting stage and it’s great that you indicated it took you 40 hours to complete. Gives me a ballpark timeframe from which to work.
